THE STORY
I was fortunate to capture the rare sun one afternoon exploring the stunning area of Krysuvik on the Reykjanes Peninsula. It has a lot of geothermal areas creating beautiful multi-coloured hills. From the south I was painting looking northwards at Baðstofa. The late afternoon sun brought out the rich orange colours of the geothermal fields against the cool shadows being cast - it just demanded to be captured in paint!
