THE STORY
Sveifluháls is a ridge around 15km long to the west of Kleifarvatn in Krýsuvík - one of my favourite areas on the Reykjannes Peninsula.  I was painting at the south end of the lake looking north-west towards this ridge as the last light of the setting sun caught the top of the peaks including Stapatindar (one of the highest points). It is wonderful when you are out painting and are fortunate to capture these rare windows of natural light.
