THE STORY
This painting is based on a plein air study I did on location in the beautiful Hvalfjörður. One morning during my time here the dawn light created some incredible colours as the sun rose breaking through the clouds behind the mountains on the other side of the fjord. I was able to get some colour notes down in my sketch book which I used to recreate this mini painting.
