THE STORY
You can get spectacular light with the winter sun, especially in a snow covered landscape! I was walking amongst the trees in Elliðaárdalur following the winding path when suddenly you could see Esjan in the distance, glowing brilliantly in the sunlight! It was such a contrast to see the distant mountain bathed in warm light compared to the cool blues of the snow in the shade where I stood. A beautiful moment that I wanted to capture in paint and share with you!
