THE STORY
Iceland, home of the sagas, has a rich culture full of mythical beasts and folk tales. I created a small series called Ancient Powers inspired by these strange and wonderful tales. This piece is based on Icelandic ghosts or afturgöngur who are often portrayed more physically than the classical spirit like European cousins. Of course you may recognise Skogafoss, it's a powerful waterfall to behold and often creates a lot of spindrift creating a mysterious eerie atmosphere - the perfect setting for a ghost story!
